Arthur Soltes Memorial Gallery of Fine Arts

Tending  to  the  cultural  interests  of  our  community,  the  Arthur  Soltes  Gallery  of  Fine  Art  occupies  the  back  area  of  Project  100's  facility.

Showcasing  a  different  artist  each  month,  a  reception  on  the  first  Saturday  heralds  the  transition  from  one  exhibition  to  the  next.  Named  for  long-time  Center  member  and  well-known  regional  artist  Arthur  Soltes,  the  gallery  is  a  fitting  tribute  to  a  man  who  devoted  his  his  life  to  Project  100  as  well  as  to  anyone  he  found  in  need.

Artists  are  always  welcome  to  submit  proposals.  To  learn  more,  contact  Exhibitions  Committee  chair  Roy  Moeckel  at  rmoeckel@project100.org

2005 marks the dawn of a new era for the Arthur Soltes Fine Arts Gallery at Project 100. The phenomenal watercolors of the late artist Friede Strobl will be featured commencing with an opening reception. Date and time will be announced at a later date.  This event marks the inauguration of monthly exhibits complete with program offerings on the first Saturday of each month.

An eclectic range of influences inform Ms. Strobl’s signature artistic style. Making use of a media (watercolor) usually associated with British artists, she incorporated that into landscapes in the tradition of the Hudson River school, in response to her love of the land where she and her partner made their home. Her training in Germany at the Academy of Fine Arts, brought these diverse elements together in a truly inspired international blend of aesthetics.
