The  brainchild  of  Jude  Russell,  BLUR  is  a  transgender  performance  showcase  which  meets  the  third  Thursday  of  the  month  ( Nov.  18,  Dec.  16)  from  7-9  P.M.  in  Project  100's  gallery  space.

Although  conceived  as  a  trans  environment,  BLUR  is  also  open  to  allies.  It's  available  to  musicians,  artists,  poets,  writers,  activists,  rappers,  performance  artists,  etc.  Light  refreshments  are  provided.

Help  is  always  appreciated,  whether  through  performing  on  the  designated  evenings  or  helping  organize  and  promote  this  innovative  undertaking.  To  learn  more,  contact  organizer  Jude  Russell  at  hartfordblur@aol.com  or  go  to  http://members.aol.com/hartfordblur

BLUR is the 3rd Thursday of the month from 7 pm to 9 pm. (Nov 18, Dec 16)

BLUR is for musicians, artists, poets, writers, activists, rappers, performance artists, and everyone else

BLUR is for FTM, MTF, intersexed, androgynes, transpersons, bois, grrls, men, womyn, butches, femmes, gender outlaws, queers, questioning, old, young, friends, family, allies, lovers, and those who want to be

BLUR is coffee, tea, soda, water, snacks, games, a place to hang, to network, to be safe

BLUR needs you.

First, come. Hang out. See whats going on.

Second, participate. Bring an instrument, bring a poem, bring a spoken word piece. Read something that someone else wrote if you haven't written yourself. Rant. Whine. Entice. Say something.

Third, run things. I am the grain of sand around which BLUR will hopefully form. But I would love your help - setting up, cleaning up, emcee'ing, advertising, emailing, web crafting. All the little things that go into making a space work and make a community thrive.
