F.A.C.E.

F.A.C.E.  (Featuring  All  Colors  and  Ethnicities)  is  a  social  justice  organization  founded  as  a  Project  100  program  by  Regina  Dyton.  Initially  created  to  deal  with  the  needs  of  LGBTI  students  in  Hartford  Public  Schools  (many  of  whom  had  been  advised  to  drop  out  in  response  to  anti-gay  or  anti-trans  harassment),  F.A.C.E.  also  works  to  assure  that  people  of  colors  as  well  as  other  ethnic  minority  persons  are  fully  included  in  the  LGBTI  community.

F.A.C.E.  held  a Community  Conversation,  funded  by  the  Connecticut  Chapter,  League  of  Women  Voters,  bringing  together  educators,  community  activists  and  others,  to  address  the  needs  of  queer  youth  in  urban  public  schools.

F.A.C.E.  is  the  lead  organization  in  the  rebirth  of  the  City  of  Hartford's  Commission  on  GLBTI  issues.  To  learn  more,  contact  Regina  Dyton  at  (860)688-2039  or  at  regina_dyton@yahoo.com
