Many Communities

This section of the website lists programs, groups, and organizations that are related to the Community Center.  Some fall under the charter of Project 100, some are sponsored, in part, by Project 100, and some are independent of Project 100, but utilize the Community Center for one type of activity or another. There are also neighbor organizations that are housed in the 1841 Broad Street Building but are separate entities from Project 100.  Our area is fortunate to have so many services and opportunities offered at one address.

As our motto states, "One Center, Many Communities." There are over twenty programs, groups, and organizations, and combined, members total many hundreds of people.  Project 100 strives to embrace all GLBTI people in the area and as our mission statement describes:

"The Hartford Community Center exists for the purpose of creating a safe and welcoming place for all Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex (GLBTI) people and our allies. We strive to improve the quality of life and sense of community among GLBTI persons and organizations by providing educational, cultural and social enrichment. We promote equal opportunity, diversity, and inclusiveness."
