TRUE COLORS

True  Colors,  Inc.  Sexual  Minority  Youth  and  Family  Services   of  Connecticut,  works  to  assure  that  Lesbian,  Gay,  Bisexual,  Transgender  and  Intersexed  people  are  welcomed  valued  and  affirmed.

Towards  that  end,  we  conduct  workshops  and  professional  trainings  to  assure  cultural  competency  among  educators,  health  care  professionals  and  others  who  are  responsible  for  our  health  and  well-being.

True  Colors  sponsors  the  largest  sexual  minority  youth  conference  in  the  nation,  held  each  March.  If you are interested, we are looking for people to help organize the True Colors conference.  Conference  planning  meetings  are  held  the  3rd.  Tuesday  of  each  month  from  6:00-8:00  P.M.  in  room  1849  of  the  Student  Center  at  Central  Connecticut  State  University.  Participants  who  attend  at  least  6  of  these  meetings  will  receive  a  Certificate  of  Leadership.

In  conjunction  with  Project  100,  True  Colors  runs  a  mentoring  program  for  sexual  and  gender  minority  youth.  We also are recruiting open and affirming foster parents for youth of all sexual orientations and gender identities.
