Founded in the
spring of 2001 as a social
group for older
sexual
and gender minority persons, as well as their
friends, allies and admirers, Vintage
Pride is one of Project 100's
most successful programs.
Regular meetings
are held at our monthly "Dining Out at Marco
Polo," which is held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 6:00
p.m. and includes a business segment,
as well as social time and an exceptional
meal.
Friendly Visitors is
another undertaking of Vintage Pride.
Unique in New England, this
offering is funded by a grant
from the North Central Connecticut
Agency on the Aging. Venturing forth
into nursing homes, Vintage Pride
volunteers reach out to their
often isolated sexual and gender
minority brethren in this
environment.
