Directions To Out In The Park

The Biggest Gay Day At New England's Biggest Amusement Park!
TICKETS
AVAILABLE
SOON!

DIRECTIONS
Remember, Out At The Fair At The Big E (Sat 9/17) will be held on the day BEFORE Out In The Park At Six Flags New England (9/18). These two events are only a 10 minute drive apart. So join us for a whole weekend of Gay Day fun, it's Get Out And About Western Massachusetts Weekend!

If you are planning on attending both events and staying overnight in the area, we would recommend staying outside of West Springfield where The Big E (Eastern States Exposition) is held. Most all of the vendors and entertainers stay close by, so the rooms will already be booked up.

The best option would be to buy one of the Get Out And About Weekend Packages from Valley Vacations. The Ultimate package includes 2 nights hotel stay for 2 people in Northampton MA, plus park admissions to both gay day events and tickets to the privately catered meals specifically for Gay Day attendees! The Standard package includes 2 nights hotel stay for 2 people, plus park admissions to both events (Standard package does NOT include any gay day meal tickets).

Visit www.valleyvacations.net for details, pricing and availability of Get Out And About Western Massachusetts Weekend Packages.

The Big E is the largest six-state exposition and fair in the Unites States, and traffic can be EXTREMELY CONGESTED especially within several miles surrounding the fairgrounds area.

For this reason, we STRONGLY RECOMMEND all Out In The Park attendees consider traveling to Six Flags New England via the following the route, regardless of whether you are coming from Springfield MA or Hartford CT:
  • Traveling from I-91, take exit 47W (in Enfield CT) for Route 190 West
  • Follow Route 190 West to Suffield CT (under 2 miles), crossing over the Connecticut River to Route 159 North
  • Follow Route 159 North to Agawam Massachusetts (only 3.8 miles), Six flags New England will be on your right, Entrance to the Parking Lot will be on your left
* Coming from Connecticut on I-91, there are NO SIGNS for Six Flags New England. So, look for and follow the signs for "The International College of Hospitality Management" (exit 48W). Six Flags New England is just north of the college after you cross over the MA state line (while traveling Northbound on Route 159).

* You have been forewarned. If you choose to take "a shorter route" that comes within a few miles of The Big E, you will most likely STILL be sitting in traffic, while the rest of us have already been on several rides at Six Flags, and eaten lunch.

LODGING OPTIONS Planning on staying at an area hotel? Consider these lodging options which also offer discounted admission tickets in package deals.

Make sure you purchase your special Out In The Park discounted tickets BEFORE you get to the park!

Helpful Tips
For Having
More Fun

SEASON PASS HOLDERS
Season Pass holders will be able to attend Out In The Park! Just use your Season Pass, but be sure you tell them you are specifically attending Out In The Park!

SEASON PASSES
Haven't Bought a Six Flags Season Pass? Think about it. It's a great buy. You can even apply a one day pass toward the full cost of a season pass, if you upgrade while you are in the park. If you are going to go to Six Flags at least twice this year, it will pay for itself. In 2004, an ONLNE Season Pass is ONLY $64.99 each, if you buy 4 or more the price is only $59.99.

If you buy a Season Pass, think about buying a Season Parking Pass too. Parking is $10.00/day, the Season Parking Pass is $30.00.

What To Wear?
Be Seen, Wear RED!
This will be the third year we have decided to go with a "color" (like they do at Gay Day at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom). We figure, Hey, Red IS visible, so, be seen this year, wear something
RED!
If red is simply not your color, then wear something GAY and BE PROUD!

Gay Apparel Is Optional!
