Out In The Park At Six Flags New England, The Biggest Gay Day At New England's Biggest Amusement Park
has been a huge success with over 7,000 attendees in 2005, 2006 and 2007! In 2008, our 12th year, we expect over 10,000 attendees!
There are so many of us, it's getting harder to count us all!
We have heard that Father's Day is also "Gay Day" at Cedar Point Amusment Park,
but we simply have not found any group, organization or a webpage
with details about such an event.
Simpy put, we have not found any information to confirm (or deny) that this event still occurs.
(We did find an old event listing on GayDay.com that indicates an unofficial event usually
occurs on Father's Day.)
By the way, GayDay.com
has the most complete listing of gay day events world-wide!
We wondered, how is this possible,
that a Gay Day event at the world's largest amusement park,
doesn't have a webpage of information?
So, along with all the other Gay Day events we plan and organize in Northeastern America,
how could we not add one more?
We also simply couldn't resist nick-naming such an event:
Out To The Point At Cedar Point Amusment Park!
In 2005, we did contact Cedar Point Amusement Park directly and the staff we spoke to
confirmed that park policy is to NOT offer Special Discount Coupons for ANY group or
event of this type.
Group discount tickets CAN be purchased in advance,
directly from Cedar Point Amusement Park.
But unlike many of the Six Flags Theme Parks we currently work with,
Cedar Point currently is not able to offer discounted special event tickets for sale
online to individuals.
Maybe in time, they will? We can only hope. It certainly makes things easier for
attendees, as well as showing the park how many people are specifically attending the event.
So, in 2006, we begin providing what information is available on this event,
on a webpage for what we know will continue to be another great, fun, all-ages, social event
for the GLBTQIS community in the Ohio, Western New York and Pennsylvania area.
